ADPC was created in March 2006 as part of the restructuring of the commercial ports sector in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. ADPC has been given management control and regulatory enforcement power over all of the non-oil commercial and leisure ports previously owned by the Abu Dhabi Seaports Authority.
