Julie Burgess - A ye' old Ketch, Built in 1936 at Launceston, she used to carry crayfish and occasionally livestock to the Bass Strait Islands. When she was in full sail she had 2000 sq ft of sail area. For many years she was moored south of Devonport's gas wharf, DP5W. In 2009, her restoration began which slowly brought the life back into Julie Burgess. Today, she will be launched at 1730 and in February, she will be recommissioned.
