Picture taken with a 5m telescopic selfiie rod. LOSSEN steaming north through Tjomekjaela towards the home port of Larkollen on the Oslo fjord. She has recently been fitted out for marine archaeology surveys with one hull mounted sidescan sonar with DownVue, and towed sidescan sonar. She is also carrying two ROVs , one rated to 30m, and the other to 100 meters of depth. They carry additional cameras and lights.

Pleasure craft and research vessel LOSSEN named after the Frigate Lossen The Lynx a fast sailing frigate in the Danish-Norwegian fleet. She was wrecked at Hvaler in the Oslo fjord, Christmas eve 1717, in a hurricane, The wreck was excavate 1968, by Norwegian Maritime Museum, as the first Norwegian marine archaeological excavation, in which the present owner participated. The new LOSSEN is equipped with sidesan sonars , underwater cameras and ROV, and used in marine archaeological surveys.
