ALTA on the rocks near Ballycotton,Cork, Ireland where she came ashore during storm Dennis on the night of the 15th of February. ALTA had been adrift since September 2018 when her crew abandoned her 1400 miles southeast of Bermuda due to engine trouble.She was also in the news in 1983 when she sank off Norway. Raised and repaired she continued trading.
