We are a community owned and community based non-profit organisation. We want to be the first community in Ireland to become carbon neutral and energy independent and we have set ourselves a target of 2022 to achieve this. For the first three years of our existence we have been retrofitting buildings on the three islands and we now have over 20% upgraded. We plan to start wind and PV generation in the next few years and use this to attract into the islands new energy dependent businesses that will benefit from our cheap, clean energy and in return provide useful employment.
